The Autumn Winter 2025 Trends To Try Now

Autumn has arrived, and while it might be a little earlier than we would like (we’re not quite ready to pack away our summer wardrobe just yet) the stores are already stocked with the most stunning new season designs, which is making the transition a little easier to accept. So, whether reaching for mocha brown tones, pondering over animal print, or wrapping yourself up in traditional heritage checks, these are the top 5 trends to buy and try now.

Mocha Moments

This autumn, brown isn’t playing neutral — it’s calling the shots. From Victoria Beckham’s espresso-hued leather jacket to Stella McCartney’s earthy, body-skimming silhouettes, the catwalks were packed with a mocha palette that put tonal dressing at the forefront of autumnal fashion. Deep chocolate brown hues were layered with rich textures to create delicious depth and an effortless, understated edge.

Over on the high street, from Massimo Dutti’s long suede trench coat and leather midi skirt to & Other Stories’ longline leather shorts, however you choose to wear this earthy hue, one thing’s for certain: brown is anything but boring.

Faux Real

Impossible to ignore, fur has returned with a gigantic roar. Dominating the runways of Chloé, Gabriella Hearst and Fendi it was absolutely everywhere. Controversial, even when faux, this tactile trend has been gaining traction for the past few seasons in the form of floor length coats, cinched-in stoles and fluffy accessories alike.

If you fancy embracing the faux, look to Karen Millen for statement animal print coats, River Island for fur-trimmed cuffs, and Marks & Spencers for shaggy-yet-chic jackets. Soft, snuggly and seriously stylish. Our advice? Embrace the fluff.

Heritage Rewritten

Rooted in tradition, but designed for now, heritage gets a modern make-over. From Miu Miu’s tartan minis and slouchy knits to Louis Vuitton’s pleated skirts and oversized gilets, AW25 was all about timeless staples with a contemporary twist. Think reimagined countryside styling, with a dash of city polish.

On the high street, we’re seeing reversible car coats at Zara, checked midi skirts from & Other Stories, and statement cable knits at H&M. The formula? Just add loafers, a crossbody bag and a coffee.

Laced With Charm

Ready to embrace lace? This truly timeless texture never really dates, but this time it’s more power move than prim and proper. On the AW25 catwalks, the delicate fabric was given a bold new attitude, cropping up in unexpected hues and modern silhouettes that felt anything but twee.

At Gucci, pastel lace stole the show, Carolina Herrera made the case for matching sets, and Chloé brought the boho elegance with floor-sweeping lace gowns. On the high street? Zara’s lace slip dresses are a must, Massimo Dutti has plenty of tonal separates, and H&M is the place for elevated basics with a lacy twist.

Wild At Heart

Animal print is back, and it means business. Our favourite ‘neutral’ was spotted prowling across the A/W25 catwalks. Saint Laurent plastered it over vinyl co-ords, Balmain made a case for zebra stripes and Stella McCartney gave snake a sultry spin.

Over on the high street, from dramatic day dresses at Damson Madder to power boots at Zara and the coolest coats from Mango and Karen Millen, consider this your cue to go wild. Whether you're into luxe-looking leopard or zebra-stripe moments, there are plenty of ways to wear the print of the season once you've chosen your pack. Check out our favourite spots below...
